Terms
Last updated [date of publication]
These terms cover using Honor the Class. By starting a class album, or adding photos to one, you agree to them.
What you can add
- Only photos you took, or have the right to share, from school occasions and class life.
- Nothing harmful, embarrassing to a child, or that you wouldn't want shown to every family in the class.
- No photos of a child marked "never show". If one is added by mistake, it is held back automatically, and the room parent can remove it.
Your photos stay yours
You keep the rights to your photos. By adding one, you let us store it and show it to the families who can see that class, including in slideshows and emails about the class, for as long as it stays in the album. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
Room parents
- You start the class album and hold the room-parent link. Keep it to yourself; it can send slideshows and change the class list.
- Add only children in your class, and respect your school's photo release: mark a child "never show" when their family hasn't agreed.
- You decide when each slideshow goes to the class.
Paying
A class album costs [$49] for one school year, usually paid from the class fund. [Which occasions are free, and the refund policy, to decide.] Prices may change for later school years, never for a year already paid.
When we can step in
We may remove photos that break these terms, and may close an album that is being misused. We will tell the room parent when we do.
The usual fine print
We work hard to keep albums safe and available, but provide the service "as is". [Limitation of liability, governing law (California?), and dispute language to be written by a lawyer.]
